Please be aware that certain web-sites are offering to arrange accommodation (and registration) for the Pisa meeting (e.g. a web-site ".org" esp2017). These have NOT been officially considered or approved by ESP and therefore we are NOT recommending that you use them and enter personal details. At this time, you are advised to obtain Congress information and registration information by going directly to the ESP congress site or, for accommodation, use an established booking site or contact directly the hotels in the following lists.

It is strongly recommended to book your hotel well in advance before the congress because September is still tourist season in Italy.

Besides a a few rather large hotels, Pisa has many small hotels and B&B's.

Special conditions have been arranged with selected hotels and rooms will be available for booking by the congress participants until mid-June.

Please note that when staying overnight in Italy, certain cities have a tourist tax. This Italy City tax must be paid by the guest directly to the hotel before the end of the stay. In Pisa it is 2 € per person per day.

Please book your accommodation as soon as possible, as special conditions are available for a limited number of rooms in each hotel.

ESP fellowship recipients accommodation

ESP fellowship recipients will be accommodated in single or double rooms at the Residence Le Benedettine Housed in the former monastery on Lungarno Sonnino, it is the University of Pisa’s new guesthouse that provides accommodation for both Italian and international students, researchers and professors. The newly renovated three-story housing covers 1900 m², it is situated in the old town, and it is within walking distance of the central train station, various other public transport services and the main university buildings, schools and departments. Walking distance: 2.0 km.
